Shanghai

They've gone all out and have put in all these displays to make tourist think they've got value for their money. I got my money's worth, doing the robot:

Andrew tried on his new shoes with built in suction caps on the heels:

ET wasn't impressed however, and gave us the finger:

The Pearl Tower has seen an explosion of growth around it, since 1994:

to 2007:

There were loads of Chinese buying incense bundles, lighting them up, waving them around in the air and chucking them in to these:

We did allow ourselves to get sucked in to seeing this dude. He makes paintings using only his hands, damn impressive!

Andrew and I had to buy one of his paintings each:

(that's his actual size, just like most Chinese people, I haven't photo shopped it at all, tee hee...)

More wandering around:

Here's the jade Buda, finally!

A friendly, um, monster:

It's not just the Chinese people that are small in China:

Not sure what the name of the God is on the left of this pic, but he looks pretty darn piissed off with me:

Ahh, that's better, don't feel like I've done anything wrong with this dude (even if he's a Nazi):

(actually, Andrew assures me that it was the Nazi's who nicked the Chinese symbol on the Buda's chest)

This guy wasn't impress that I called his friend a Nazi:

And this guy is really piised off with the other guy in the top left of the pic, giving him the finger:

OK, I see a recurring theme with me being in the dog box here:
