Saw this homeless dude going fishing, seriously, wear a fig leaf or something:
view at the top of the park:
Looking over Florence towards its cathedral and tower:
Oooooos a good doggie woggie den?!
As we were wandering towards the cathedral and tower, we saw a guy walking out of a door, so we slipped in before it shut and found ourselves in a museum:
I found out from Google that this statue represents how hungry the babies are in Italy, don't put your hand too close to a baby's mouth or you'll regret it:
We finally got to the cathedral and queued up to go inside:
finding out that the inside of it was one of the most unimpressive cathedrals I've ever seen. There was a queue just to get the hell back out of the place!
The tower was very cool though, we went up that:
Getting a fantastic view:
View over to Florence's main square where the fake statue of David is:
Then it was back on another train and off to Venice, arriving at night:
Yeah, yeah, you've seen one canal, you've seen them all, but there's bugger all else to take photos of!
One of the main bridges over the grand canal:
The Grand Canal itself:
Look, another canal!
Oh, there was another main square to see too:
Another bridge over the Grand Canal (we went over them all):
And just in case you haven't seen enough, some more canals!
Venice was fantastic though, no cars and a rabbit warren of streets and alleyways to walk though, I was glad I had Google maps on my phone with GPS! Try navigating without a map through streets from the main square back to your hotel (every triangle is a change do a different path):
Italy, fantastic!
