Stef and I went to Courchevel to have a meal with Mark, Caroline and Nick. We popped in to what we thought was an Irish bar while we waited for them to get ready. After ordering and sitting down, I got a bit suspicious by the leather seats and thought "hmm, lets check out the menu".

After spying a bottle of bubbly for 20,000 euros I thought "hmm, lets check out the beer prices".

12 euro a pint. Ow, we didn't hang around for another:

The meal in Courchevel was fantastic though. Nick and I got the Flambé, which consisted of hunks of steak, thrusted in to spikes coming out of a hot lump of steel. A mans dinner:

Caroline and Mark enjoying their meat fondue:

Here's a birds eye view of a bit of meat cooking in the hot oil:

My, trying to wrench off a hunk of steak:

Nick was slightly more elegant than I at the meal table:

Muah ha ha! Nick and I defeated the meat spike!

Near the end of the week the weather came in a bit:

Was a bit much for Stu in places. Check out his ear:

Just in case you missed that, here's why Stu was complaining that his ear was a bit nippy after his crash:

And the usual off to the pub after a hard day's snowboarding. Stu's trying to be as "cool" as my by trying to form the word "blood" with his fingers (just in case any hoodies try to beat him up on the mountain, he could just flash the signal to get out of trouble. I don't this his current attempt will help much):

And off to the pub for a round of steak and ribs! Here's all of us, Grant, Tans, Sam, Ngaire, Dayle, Rachelle, Amelia, Stu, Stef and I:

OK, couple more senic pics, alright then:

Sam, Stu and I, taking in the view before we carve it up:

And what a view it was:

Our last night we all went out again, you can make out the meat pyramid that grant and I had. Grant wasn't impressed (faulty flamers underneath):

And the best pic is saved for last. We all sang Happy Birthday to Meels when we came in (her birthday isn't for 2+ months, we just did it for a laugh). Low and behold at the end of our meal, the lights dimmed and the staff came out with a hat and icecream for her! Tee hee:

And that was it! I'll leave you with a lovely drunken video of Stu and I careering down a steep slope:
